This website is purely informational. It contains no analytics tools, no advertising networks and no embedded third-party content; the enquiry form does not transmit any data to our server (section 4). Personal data is only processed to the extent technically necessary to operate the site.

When you access the website, your browser automatically transmits data that the hosting provider stores in server log files: page accessed, date and time, amount of data transferred, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL and IP address. This data is technically required to deliver the page and serves operational and attack security. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. It is not combined with other data sources and not analysed for marketing purposes. The logs are stored by the provider for a short period and then deleted automatically.
The enquiry form on the “Contact” page does not send any data to our server and does not store anything. It combines your entries into an e-mail in your browser and opens your e-mail program with it; you decide there whether and when the message is sent. It is then transmitted via your e-mail provider like any other e-mail.
In addition, the e-mail address and phone number given are direct means of contact. If you write to us or call us – for example to request a trial version or a quote – your details (name, contact details and the content of your message) are processed to handle your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR, for general enquiries Art. 6 (1) (f) GDPR. The data is deleted once the enquiry has been finally dealt with and no statutory retention obligations – in particular under commercial and tax law – prevent this.
Requesting the trial version (download page). The form on the “Download the trial version” page transmits your e-mail address and – if given – name and company to our licence and download service at lizenz.kliemsoft.de (web space at STRATO, section 6). We then send you an e-mail with a personal download link (double opt-in, valid for 7 days); only when you open the link is the request confirmed, and we receive a notification so that we can contact you with questions about the trial. We store e-mail address, name, company, language, the times of request and confirmation and the number of downloads; the IP address only as a checksum with a daily changing addition to limit misuse. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1) (a) GDPR), which you can withdraw at any time by e-mail to gk@mdvs.de, and the performance of pre-contractual measures (Art. 6 (1) (b) GDPR). Unconfirmed requests are deleted after 7 days, confirmed ones after 12 months or earlier on request. There is no disclosure to third parties and no newsletter.

This website is hosted by STRATO AG, Pascalstraße 10, 10587 Berlin, Germany. The provider processes the data mentioned in section 3 on our behalf and according to our instructions; a data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place. The servers are located in Germany.
The website uses the system fonts available on your device and does not load fonts, scripts or other content from third-party servers (e.g. Google Fonts). It does not embed maps, videos, social media buttons or other third-party content.
This policy concerns the website. The KliemSoft software stores your business data (accounting, customer, item and document data) exclusively on your computer (Single) or your server (PRO); MDVS does not receive any business data. Which data is transmitted during license activation and the update check is governed by the software’s license terms (section 5).
License and update service (lizenz.kliemsoft.de). The software retrieves updates (version number, installation files) and activates licenses at lizenz.kliemsoft.de. For an activation or license check, the license file (including the licensee’s name), a non-reversible device ID derived from device characteristics, the computer name and the program version are transmitted; the IP address is stored only as a checksum with a daily changing salt to limit abuse. The request is buffered on the web space (STRATO, section 6), collected by MDVS’s license server and deleted after 24 hours at the latest. The purpose is the performance of the contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR); MDVS’s license register keeps the license ID, device ID, computer name, program version and activation times for the duration of the license relationship.
Personal data is not transferred to third countries outside the EU or EEA. There is no automated decision-making including profiling pursuant to Art. 22 GDPR. Data is not used for advertising purposes and is not sold.
